Respect for every work

The garden gathers poems, photographs, translations, and local records. Each may have a different right holder, so we treat source and permission as part of the archive.

Our rule

  • Public-domain and permitted works may be shown in full.
  • Protected poems are not opened in full until permission is confirmed.
  • Photos and archive writing belong to their creators unless noted otherwise.
  • Right holders can request correction, credit, or removal.
01

Poems

Poems that are still protected by copyright are handled conservatively. If permission is not confirmed, we may show only bibliographic information, short context, or a placeholder.

02

Status of major stele

Older works such as Han Yong-un's “What I Cannot Know,” Jeong Mong-ju's “Danshim-ga,” Shin Saimdang, and Yi Sun-sin's “Hansando-ga” are already in the public domain in Korea and may be shown in full. Works by poets whose families or estates still hold rights — for example Cho Ji-hun's “The Nun's Dance” (PD in 2039), Park Mok-wol's “The Wayfarer” (PD in 2049), and Kim Chun-su's “Flower” (PD in 2075) — are presented as bibliographic context, short excerpts, or placeholders until permission is confirmed.

03

Member uploads (photos and writing)

Photos, regional essays, and community posts uploaded by members remain the work of the member. By uploading, the member grants Dodong Sibidongsan a non-exclusive licence to display them for archive and community purposes; the member may request removal at any time.

04

Sharing

You may share page links and brief excerpts with proper attribution. Please do not copy full poems, photos, or articles for reuse without checking the rights.

05
